The Philippines Office For Transportation Security has issued an initial statement addressing the viral video of what ENHYPEN had been through in Manila’s airport.
ENHYPEN recently departed from the airport back to Korea, and during their airport screening, chaos erupted and videos of the situation went viral causing anger among fans.
In one viral video that has amassed over 1 million views on Twitter, the airport staff can be seen hovering around the boys as they go through screening, people with official badges from the airport gathered around to snap photos of the idols crowding the area.
The person who was responsible for ensuring necessary security procedures was seen giggling, and smiling as she carried out a pat-down on the boys and asked them to lower their masks. Fans say such procedures are unnecessary as they must follow COVID-19 protocols and patting down was not one of them.
Since the situation escalated and various videos went viral, the Office For Transportation Security took to Facebook to issue a statement addressing the matter, they wrote,
