The Kpop Company Suing A Kpop Trainee 3 Billion Won For Damages In Contract Dispute

The production company Funky Studio has filed a lawsuit against trainee Yu Junwon, demanding a large amount of compensation that has since made headlines!

On the 13th, the production company Funky Studio of MBC’s “Boy Fantasy” filed a lawsuit against Yu Junwon for 3 billion won [$2.25 million] in damages at the Seoul Central District Court.

Previously, Yu Junwon, who became a member of the group Fantasy Boys after winning first place in “Boy Fantasy,” expressed his intention not to debut with the production company and left the team, causing controversy.

Yu Junwon has also filed for an injunction to suspend the effectiveness of the exclusive contract against Pocket Doll Studio, the management agency. Due to various issues between his parents and the agency, the situation escalated. Both sides engaged in back and forth statements accusing the other of breaking trust and unreasonable demands/ contract terms.

Meanwhile, Fantasy Boys will officially debut on the 21st of September with 11 members.
