MONSTA X is fast approaching their 7th year anniversary and you know what that means, contract renewals are up.
On May 9, news outlets began to report about who in MONSTA X renewed their contract and who was still in talks. This was followed by a statement from Starship Entertainment which confirmed the current state of the members’ contracts renewal.
Starship Entertainment states that they have renewed their exclusive contracts with Shownu, Kihyun, and Hyungwon. They promised to provide full support based on the trust and faith they have in each other.
In regards to Minhyuk, Joohoney, and I.M, the agency stated they’re still in contract renewals negotiations. They’re carrying out in-depth discussions with the remaining three members to achieve the best possible results.
Starship also put fans worries to rest about the future of MONSTA X, they wrote,
“The affection for MONSTA X remains the same for both our company and the six members, we will work to share an official statement regarding the contract renewals once its settled.”
MONSTA X celebrates their 7th anniversary this week, the group debuted on May 14, 2015 with their first EP Trespass.
