Taeyeon Posts A Heartfelt Tribute To Her Late Father And Thanks Fans For Their Support

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon has opened up about the sudden tragic death of her father!

On March 9, SM confirmed that Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon’s father passed away. March 9 also marked Taeyeon’s birthday, she was originally scheduled to release a song on that day but it has been postponed.

On March 13, Taeyeon opened up about her father’s death through a beautiful post dedicated to him, she posted a photo of her father and mother, she captioned,

“I would like to express my deep gratitude to everyone who congratulated and consoled me on March 9, 2020.

I was touched by countless people who embraced me warmly and patted me on the back in consolation.

I will continue to live well with the deep love and warm consolation you gave me. For those who have come all the way at once, and for those who have sent their sincerity from far away, I ask for your understanding that I am unable to reach out to every single person, but I am grateful and thank you.

March 9th will be a very unforgettable day for me and my family. My dad has been with me since the first day I started doing music when I was a kid. He would start the car first, and would always be on the move like that for his daughter.

I’m sure he’s somewhere right now on the move, one step ahead of us. I believe he’s looking down on us from a good place and is watching over us. Lastly, thank you to everyone who had done their best and showed their concern for me. Dad I, Taeyeon, love you so much.”
