The President’s Office dismissed the rumors saying that there would be no joint concert between BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga on the occasion of President Yoon Suk Yeol’s state visit to the United States.

The president’s office said in a notice from the spokesperson’s office on March 31st, “The performance that is being reported in the media is not on the schedule of the president’s visit to the United States.”

President Yoon is scheduled to pay a state visit to the United States at the end of next month. As this is the first state visit to the U.S. in 12 years, while various events are under discussion, the U.S. had proposed a joint concert between BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga and was reportedly reviewing it.

However, as the President’s Office has officially announced that this event will not be on the schedule, it is unlikely that there will be any additional discussions on this.

Due to a delay in reporting the US proposal for the concert in the process of preparing for President Yoon’s state visit, Foreign Secretary Moon Hee and National Security Office Director Kim Sung Han resigned on the 29th.

President Yun appointed Cho Tae Yong as the new ambassador to the United States to replace Chief Kim and awarded him a letter of appointment on the 30th.
