The female version of SuperM is here!

SM Entertainment has just released a surprising new announcement, the formation of a new girl group.

Back in August of 2019, SM announced the formation of a boy group consisting of members from SHINee, EXO, and NCT. SHINee’s Taemin, EXO’s Baekhyun and Kai, and NCT’s Taeyong, Mark, Ten, and Lucas became SuperM.

At midnight on December 27, 2021, SM Entertainment announced that a girl group in a similar style would be formed called GOT, or Girls on Top.

The newly released teaser poster shows members BoA, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet’s Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa’s Karina and Winter.

According to the teaser, the new girl group will drop a special performance on January 1, 2022 and will release their first song on January 3 at 6 p.m. KST.
