NCT NEW TEAM has lost a member!
On October 2, SM issued a statement to announce that Jungmin has departed NCT NEW TEAM due to health reasons. The group will begin a pre-debut tour on October 8, the announcement came as a huge shock and surprise to the fans.

We would like to express our gratitude to all the fans who have been waiting for the debut of NCT’s new team.
We would like to inform you about Jungmin, who was selected as a pre-debut member.
After confirming the pre-debut members of NCT’s new team, we have been preparing to stand in front of the fans through the pre-debut activities starting from October 8th.
However, recently, Jungmin has been focusing on treatment and had to temporarily suspend practice and activities due to health reasons.
As we are approaching the official debut, our company has been continuously discussing Jungmin’s ability to participate in activities, in consultation with himself, his family, and medical professionals.
After careful consideration, prioritizing Jungmin’s health, he has decided not to join NCT’s new team and to continue as a trainee for further recovery.
We sincerely apologize for causing concerns with this sudden news to the fans who have been supporting Jungmin’s debut.
Our company will fully support Jungmin’s treatment and recovery so that he can engage in new activities in a healthy state.
Therefore, NCT’s new team will proceed with activities as a six-member group.
