SM Entertainment is looking for a new venue for the 15th-anniversary fan meeting of the group SHINee, following fans’ complaints that the current venue is unsuitable for a performance.

On the 2nd, SM apologized to fans on a fan platform, saying, “We sincerely apologize for causing concerns to fans ahead of SHINee’s 15th anniversary. We are currently looking for a new venue for the fan meeting and will announce the schedule as soon as we receive a response.”

Originally, SM had planned to hold the SHINee 15th anniversary commemorative fan meeting “Everyday is SHINee DAY: Piece of SHINE” at Hall 7 of KINTEX 2nd Exhibition Center in Ilsan on the 27th of this month. However, some fans pointed out that it was inappropriate to hold a fan meeting at an exhibition venue where it is difficult to secure a good view and there are no sound facilities, and controversy arose as they began a boycott movement.

Late to the issue, SM announced that the general ticket sales scheduled for the 4th of this month have been postponed and stated, “We will inform you quickly as soon as the venue and detailed schedule are decided. We will do our best for SHINee and the fans on this precious anniversary.”
