The conflict between SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM) and EXO’s Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin (hereinafter referred to as CBX) seems to be deepening as SM has filed a lawsuit demanding contract fulfillment against them.

An SM representative stated on the 13th of June to Maeil Business Star Today, “We have filed a lawsuit for contract fulfillment against Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin in the Seoul Eastern District Court. We will respond according to the law and principles.”

According to the documents submitted by SM, it was revealed that they cannot tolerate EXO-CBX’s unreasonable behavior any longer and have filed a lawsuit requesting the fulfillment of the agreement as a priority.

The idols’ agency INB100, claimed during a press conference on the 10th that SM did not fulfill the 5.5% distribution fee for Kakao’s music and album in 2020, which was agreed upon last year. They also raised their voices, stating that SM unfairly demanded 10% of the revenue from their solo activities and did not provide the existing settlement information. In response, SM argued that “the essence of the issue lies in Chairman Cha Gahwan and MC Mong’s tempering,” and rebutted by saying, “They only want to enjoy the rights and benefits as EXO members without fulfilling their obligations,” read about it here.
