SM Entertainment will debut a boy group after 7 years.

On the 31st of July, SM Entertainment announced that the boy group ‘RIIZE’ is scheduled to debut in September.

The group name ‘RIIZE’ combines the meanings of ‘Rise,’ which means ‘to grow,’ and ‘Realize,’ which means ‘to achieve,’ to convey the meaning of a team that grows together and works towards realizing their dreams.

RIIZE consists of 7 members who possess both talent and visuals and is set to present their unique genre called ‘Emotional Pop.’

In addition, RIIZE will open their official Instagram account on August 1st at 24:00 (midnight) and make the first introduction of all members, taking their first step towards debut.

Moreover, RIIZE is SM’s rookie group launched about 3 years after aespa and is the first boy group to debut after approximately 7 years since NCT.
