On the day of their debut, RIIZE, the new boy group from SM, delighted fans by announcing their fandom name SUNZ.

On September 6, SM announced they had changed RIIZE’s fandom name to something else, read their statement!

Hello.
We sincerely thank all the fans who have shown their support for RIIZE since their debut.
In the midst of your support, RIIZE has revealed the official fanclub name that will accompany them from their debut on September 4th (Monday).
We announced the fanclub name as SUNZ, which received the most votes from the fans. However, we have received many opinions from fans expressing concerns that SUNZ may be interpreted negatively, and we have come to realize that the positive meaning of SUNZ, which signifies growing together with RIIZE, could be distorted.
Since the fanclub name was chosen with the intention of being called a name that carries a positive meaning and signifies growing together with RIIZE, we have decided to change the fanclub name to ‘BRIIZE,’ which received the second highest number of votes. We kindly ask for your understanding.
The official service of RIIZE OFFICIAL FANCLUB ‘BRIIZE’ will begin on September 12th (Tuesday). We will provide updates on RIIZE’s activities through the official fanclub, so please show a lot of interest in RIIZE OFFICIAL FANCLUB “BRIIZE”.
