SHINee’s Taemin is finally back!
On April 4, the idol posted a heartfelt letter to the fans who welcomed him back through a fan community platform.
The heartfelt letter was handwritten, here is what it says:
Hello, this is Taemin.
It feels like it was a long journey if it was long and a short journey if it was short. It was a valuable time for me to reflect on myself, and I felt even more grateful and happy for the time I spent.
I missed you all so much that words cannot express it, and I think your hearts were the same as mine. Ironically, this thought gave me strength and was one of the reasons that helped me mature.
I am so grateful that you have made me feel special, and I will continue to work with a sense of duty to repay you with a grateful heart for the rest of my life. I will always try to be a support for your happiness. Please take care of me from now on.”
Taemin enlisted in May 2021 and received basic military training before beginning his service in the Army Band. However, during his military service, his depression and anxiety worsened, and he was forced to suspend his active duty and transitioned to a reserve duty.
Welcome back to our midst, honey! The wait was indeed long, but I don’t regret…it’s worth! I will love the grown-up, more serious Taemin in the same way that I loved the baby-Taemin… This is the order of the world, children grow up. The family (because you and we Yjakkongs are one family!) will always be there for you in every situation in life, I promise you! Forever by your side! We love you Taemin!
