SF9 Hwiyoung And Chani have been booked by police for violating disease prevention regulations.

On January 27, it was reported that the police received a report of a drinking establishment operating at 1 a.m. KST on January 18, the two idols were present there. Current regulations only allow operation until 9 p.m. KST in Seoul.

The establishment refused to open the door and caused the police and firemen to force open it. After the report about the incident went viral, FNC released a statement to confirm it and apologize. In their statement, they claim that they only found out about it today.

They stated,

“We found out today that SF9 members Hwiyoung and Chani violated Seoul COVID-19 control guidelines through a gathering with an acquaintances on January 18 at 1 a.m. KST.

Hwiyoung And Chani visited the Hold’em Pub in Nonhyeon-dong after receiving a call from an acquaintance to celebrate Chani’s birthday the night after all schedules were over. In the process, they were investigated for violating disease control regulations.

It is clear that Hwiyoung And Chani were careless and deserving of criticism, and they blame themselves for causing concern to fans as well as the public, and are deeply reflecting and regretting it.”

They also apologized for not managing their artists properly and promised to do better in the future.
