Nine Muses are reportedly coming back together with new music after their disbandment in 2019.
According to music industry officials on March 21, Nine Muses aims to make a comeback this summer.
The unit will release music first. Nine Muses A, a four-member unit of Nine Muses consisting of Gyeongree, Hyemi, Sojin and keumjo, is scheduled to release the music as early as in May. After that, Nine Muses, the full group, will make a comeback from July to August. The composition of the members is currently under discussion.
Nine Muses, who debuted in 2009 as the first “model idols” in Korea, were loved by the public for their performance and songs that were as cool as their appearance. Despite the flood of girl groups in the mid-2010s, they maintained their unique concept and were steadily loved, and various entertainment activities by members were also noticeable. In February 2019, they announced their disbandment and released one digital single and held their final fan meeting, saying goodbye to fans. While doing individual activities, the members’ opinions were getting along with each other and as a result, this comeback came to life. They released various hit songs such as “No Playboy,” “Glue,” “News,” “Dolls,” and “DRAMA.”
Following last year, this is another second-generation idol group’s comeback, that has been announced. Last year, there was the Girls’ Generation’s comeback and KARA’s reunion, and this year, Nine Muses will be the one coming back together after years.
