The TV show “Unanswered Questions” which sparked controversy due to biased reporting regarding Fifty Fifty’s Case Against Attrakt, has expressed its position.

According to SBS, the program’s production team issued a statement on the 24th of August to further elaborate on their position following some of the immense backlash they received for the covering of the case.

In the previous episode of “Unanswered Questions,” the parents of the Fifty Fifty members expressed their perspective, saying, “If they weren’t singers, they wouldn’t have done it. There’s no chance of going back to being ‘Attract.'” This content, which conveyed the members’ point of view, spread. Since then, there has been a strong protest against the biased broadcast that excluded Attrakt’s efforts.

Furthermore, there have been suspicions that some claims, such as Attrakt’s side throwing away the food given by the members’ parents, are not true.

As a result, various entertainment organizations raised suspicions of bias in the broadcast of “Unanswered Questions” and expressed their opposition, even leading to a petition demanding the program’s cancellation in the National Assembly.

Here is the full statement from the production team of “Unanswered Questions”:

Regarding the broadcast of “Unanswered Questions” we would like to inform you of our position.
The episode of ““Unanswered Questions” -Billboard and Girl Groups” that aired on August 19th was produced to think about what is needed to make sustainable K-pop through the ‘Fifty Fifty incident.’
First of all, we deeply apologize for hurting the hearts of many people working in the K-pop industry and K-pop fans, contrary to the intentions of the production team during the broadcast. We will take seriously the comments and criticisms sent by organizations such as the Korean Management Association or the Korean Entertainment Producers Association.
Furthermore, we want to clarify that this program is not intended to take sides in the ongoing conflicts but to listen to both sides’ perspectives. We will make up for the shortcomings by conducting additional interviews and follow-up broadcasts regarding the issues that are currently being debated.
We appreciate your interest in “Unanswered Questions” and will strive to repay the support of our viewers with more in-depth reporting.
