[BREAKING] Red Velvet Wendy Suffers Injuries To Her Face, Fracture In Her Hip And Wrist At 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon Rehearsals

Red Velvet Wendy has sustained injuries following an accident at the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon.

Red Velvet was included in the lineup for the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon, Irene and Wendy even had special performances scheduled as well. However, On December 25 and ahead of the ceremony, SM Entertainment released a statement announcing that Red Velvet will not be attending the event.





At first, they only revealed that Wendy was injured and rushed to the hospital to receive treatment. They added they would notify fans of the exact injuries once they have an idea. Red Velvet will not attend the pre-recording and live show of 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon.

At first, fans were concerned but they had no idea it would be this bad. Later, a source from SM entertainment spoke to news outlets and revealed that Wendy fell off the stage and sustained injuries as a result.

After her fall, she was rushed to the hospital to undergo a full examination. She sustained injuries to her face and fractures in her pelvis and wrist on the right side of her body.





Regarding the future of Red Velvet promotions for their comeback, SM revealed that they will return with an official statement once everything was sorted out.

SBS also released an apology,

“On December 25, there was an unfortunate incident during rehearsals for 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon that led to Red Velvet’s Wendy sustaining injuries.

We sincerely apologize to the fans and viewers because Red Velvet is unable to make it to the live performance of the show.

We hope Red Velvet Wendy will get well soon, and SBS will pay special attention to safety management in the future.”
