Red Velvet‘s Joy has temporarily suspended activities due to poor health conditions.
On April 26th, her agency, SM Entertainment, said in an official statement, “Joy recently visited the hospital due to poor physical condition, and through consultation and examination, the medical staff said that she needed treatment and stability. In response, she announced that she plans to not participate in her schedule for the time being, and to take a break and work hard to recover her condition.”
On the same day, SBS’ “TV Animal Farm” told OSEN, “Joy will not participate in the program recording from this day. For the time being, vacancies will be operated as a temporary system.”
Joy joined SBS “TV Animal Farm” as a fixed MC in June of last year.
The agency said, “We apologize for causing concern to the fans, and ask for the fans’ understanding that the decision was made after sufficient discussion for Joy’s health,” adding, “We will tell you as soon as Joy’s resumption of activities is decided in the future.”
