Lami, a well-known trainee from SM Rookies, will debut as an actress.
Lami, who was known to have left the company, has started working as an actress under SM Entertainment.
Lami became a trending topic after she was listed on the SM artist profile. On December 9th, SM confirmed Rami’s debut as an actress to Xports News.
Lami was born in 2003, and in 2013, when she was 11 years old, she became popular as a member of “SM Rookies”, an SM Entertainment pre-debut team. After “SM Rookies”, she acted in children’s roles such as Lee Ji Ah and Jin Se Yeon in “Perfect Spy”, “I’m A Flower Too”, and “Five Fingers”.
“SM Rookies” was a pre-debut team in which the rookies were trained by SM. Red Velvet’s Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Yeri and aespa Ningning, NCT’s Taeyong, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, etc. were a part of “SM Rookies” and successfully debuted.
After becoming her public trainee, Lami became known by appearing on Disney Channel’s “Mickey Mouse Club” alongside the members of “SM Rookies.” Thanks to her cute and lovely appearance, she was predicted to be the ‘visual centre of SM’s next girl group’. However, she left SM in 2020. Two years later, she will make her debut as an actress under SM Entertainment.
Lami said that in the future she will be an actress rather than an idol, and she will start activities with SM. She already has a career as a child actress, so expectations are high for her performance.
