Prosecution Demands Prison Sentence For Jung Joon Young And Choi Jong Hoon Sexual Crimes

It’s slowly coming to an end!

On November 13, the 9th trial was held for Jung Joon Young, Choi Jong Hoon, and other individuals for violating the Special Act on Punishment of Sexual Crimes.

The demands of the prosecutions were revealed. They demanded 7 years in prison for Jung Joon Young for charges of filming and spreading illegally taken footage in addition to a case of aggravated rape (refers to rape that involves two or more perpetrators).

For Choi Jong Hoon, the prosecution demanded 5 years in prison, he also being charged for his participation in the aggravated rape involving Jung Joon Young.

For Burning Sun employees Mr. Kim and office worker Mr. Kwon 10 years in prison were requested on the charges that include quasi-rape (referring to rape where the victim is unable to resist or unconscious). The prosecution requested the heaviest sentences for those two individuals.

Five years were requested for former entertainment agency employee Mr. Heo for the charges of aggravated quasi-rape.

Not only that but to ensure the public is protected, the prosecution also asked the court to order 10 years of employment restrictions on institutions that work with children and teenagers. Adding to that, the prosecution requested that they complete a sexual assault treatment program and disclosure of personal information as well.

The final verdict will be announced by the court at the sentencing trial on November 29 at 11 a.m. KST.
