PENTAGON’s Hongseok Discharged From The Military Only 8 Months After Beginning Service Due To Worsening Panic Disorder And Depression
PENTAGON’s Hongseok will not be completing his military service!
On December 25, Cube Entertainment announced that PENTAGON’s Hongseok has been discharged from military service due his worsening health condition.
According to Cube Entertainment, Hongseok has been receiving treatment and counseling for panic disorder and depression, which he has been suffering from for some time, even during military service.
However, due to the worsening of his condition and the military’s determination that it was not possible to continue military life and treatment simultaneously, Hong Seok has been discharged from the military.

PENTAGON’s Hongseok has been classified for the Wartime Labor Service and was medically discharged from the military.
Hongseok has been receiving continuous treatment and counseling for panic disorder and depression, which he has been suffering from for some time, even during military service, but due to the worsening of his condition and the military’s determination that it was not possible to continue military life and treatment simultaneously, he has been discharged from the military.
We apologize for causing concern with this sudden news and will do our best to ensure that Hongseok can concentrate on his treatment and find stability in the future.

Hongseok enlisted on May 3, 2022. He enlisted as an active-duty soldier.
He become the 3rd member of his group to enlist following Jinho and Hui.
