NOIR’s Nam Yoon Seong Kicked Out Of Upcoming Drama After Getting Charged With Inflicting Body Harm On Ex-Girlfriend Who Refused To See Him

Previously, we reported about the kpop idol who was given a slap on the wrist for what he’s done to his girlfriend.

At the time, it was also revealed that the idol had carried out his activities as normal despite the charges against him and the situation unfolding in real life adding to netizens anger.

On August 24, the production team of the upcoming drama “Oh My Assistant” released a statement revealing that NOIR’s Nam Yoon Seong will be edited out, “We are taken aback by the sudden situation, and we are fully aware of the seriousness of the issue, so we are discussing the role change, editing, and re-shooting of actor Nam Yoon Sung.”

“Oh My Assistant” is an upcoming BL drama that had wrapped up filming recently and was scheduled to be released soon. The drama has incurred immense losses and will have to re-film because he’s been cast in a lead role.

NOIR’s Nam Yoon Seong was a contestant on the hit show Produce 101 season two, and at some time in October of 2021, he allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house when she refused to meet him. He broke in through the balcony, wrapped his arms around her neck and dragged her into the living room. He then grabbed a small knife and threatened her with it, he asked for her to continuing seeing him. He allegedly choked her when she refused and a neighbor happened to hear this and called the police. When someone knocked on the door, he reportedly pointed a knife at her throat asking her not to scream.

The Seoul Central District Court gave the idol a slap on the wrist for his crime concluding that he’s a first time offender, he was given a suspended sentence. The judge concluded his actions were committed impulsively.

He was charged with inflicting bodily harm, and threatening with the use of a weapon and has been sentenced to 1 year in prison if he commits the same crime within a probationary period of 2 years.

He was also placed under protective supervision for 1 year, and must complete 80 hours of community service.

Neither the agency nor the idol have issued a statement yet to address the controversy.
