BREAKING: NewJeans Holds Emergency Live Broadcast Addressing HYBE And Min Hee Jin Feud + Ask The Label To Reinstate Min Hee Jin By September 25

The group NewJeans has demanded that HYBE reinstate former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, who was dismissed.

On the afternoon of the 11^th of September, NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) conducted a live broadcast of approximately 35 minutes titled “What NewJeans Wants to Say” through a newly created YouTube channel called “nwjns“. The channel has since been removed.

On this day, Hyein explained the reason for the live broadcast, saying, “Even though it hasn’t been long since (Min Hee-jin) CEO was dismissed, it was so hard to see many people who have been continuously working with us suffering from unfair demands and pressure. It was so frustrating that we had no choice but to watch such situations. Also, we were so worried about the future of the five of us.”

She continued, “It’s a problem that involves the lives of the five of us, so we can’t just leave it to the adults and keep waiting. Ultimately, what we are talking about today is directed toward HYBE,” she began.

Haerin said, “Even after we debuted, the number of really unfair and incomprehensible things that you all don’t know about has been increasing more and more,” and pointed out, “As those who know might know, not long ago, private records like videos and medical records from our trainee days were made public. We were really surprised when we first saw that. We couldn’t understand how a company that should protect us couldn’t manage such materials and leaked them. We have been raising issues together with CEO Min, but HYBE did not resolve them, and there were no active measures.”

Hanni claimed that she heard a manager from another team under HYBE say “Ignore them” loud enough for them to hear. Minji confessed, “How could a manager from one team pass by and say loudly enough for us to hear to ignore what their team member did to us? We suffered such unimaginable words and attitudes, but they didn’t even acknowledge their wrongdoing, let alone apologize.”

Danielle said, “We were just working hard for our dreams, so what did we do wrong? After the CEO was dismissed, in just one week, we could no longer work with the directors who have been with us until now. If you really care about us, don’t just say that you prioritize artists, but let us work so that we can really rely on, enjoy, and like the music.”

Hyein revealed, “We found out about the news that the CEO was dismissed through an article on that day,” and said, “Please reinstate the CEO and return things to their original place, not this unfamiliar environment and unfamiliar people.”

She added, “From a human perspective, I wish you would stop harassing our Min Hee-jin CEO. Honestly, I feel so sorry for the CEO, and HYBE just looks like an inhumane company. What can we learn by looking at such a company?”

She continued, “What we want is the original appearance where CEO Min Hee-jin is in charge of both management and producing. The reason we are making such a request is that this is the way we can get along well without fighting with HYBE.”

Finally, Minji said, “If our opinions have been well conveyed, we hope that Chairman Bang and HYBE will make a wise decision to reinstate things to their original state by the 25th.”
