NewJeans’ “Ditto” Becomes The Longest First Place Charting Song In Melon’s History With 13 Consecutive Weeks Streak

NewJeans’ song “Ditto” has topped Melon for 13 consecutive weeks, writing another historical feat for the group.

NewJeans’ “Ditto” topped the Melon weekly chart (2023.03.13-2023.03.19) in data released on March 20.

Accordingly, NewJeans will continue their longest (13 weeks) first-place charting streak since the Melon service began in 2004.

Following “Ditto,” NewJeans’ single title track “OMG” and debut song “Hype Boy” ranked second and third, respectively. It has been 10 weeks since NewJeans swept first to third places on the Melon weekly chart.

“Ditto” topped the weekly chart of Genie and Bugs as well as Melon. On the Genie weekly chart, “Hype Boy” and “OMG” ranked second and third, respectively, while “OMG” ranked third and “Hype Boy” ranked fourth on the Bugs weekly chart.

The group has also achieved remarkable achievements in major global charts. Six months after their debut, NewJeans entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 with “Ditto” and “OMG,” and the two songs ranked 82nd and 74th on the chart, respectively, on February 18.
