Nam Tae Hyun and Seo Min Jae will soon be investigated due to suspicions of using illegal drugs.
On August 26, the Seoul Yongsan Police Station told news outlets in a statement that the couple was booked on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. Nam Tae Hyun and Seo Min Jae will be summoned soon for questioning.
Previously, Seo Min Jae took to her Instagram to post a selfie with Nam Tae Hyun and numerous other posts accusing him of using methamphetamine and hitting her. She wrote, “Nam Tae Hyun does philopon (the brand name for methamphetamine in East Asian countries). His syringe is either in my room or in my office cabinet. He also hit me.”
She would post incoherent messages and delete them shortly after. Due to the allegations, police got involved and said they will be investigating the situation. In an effort to do damage-control, Seo Min Jae took to Instagram on August 21 to take back the allegations she made against him. She said they are dating and they had a quarrel and what she said was a result of taking too much psychiatric medications. She says what she wrote was not true.
Nam Tae Hyun also addressed the situation and said they were dating and had a quarrel but he did not comment on the allegations of drug use.
