MONSTA X’s I.M. shares a heartwarming hand-written letter after deciding to end his contract with Starship Entertainement.
On August 8, MONSTA X’s I.M. shared the letter as given below
“Hello, It’s MONSTA X’s I.M.”
It’s already been 7 years since I started my journey as a singer with Starship Entertainment.
I have become very attached to the agency as we’ve been together for a long time, but now I think I need a new challenge that will bring new meaning, so I came to make this decision after a lot of consideration.
I want to say thank you to Starship family who has been laughing and crying together for a long time.
Monbebe who made the happiest and brightest moments together. I think MONSTA X activities are important, and MONSTA X will be with MONBEBE as always.
I love you, Monbebe . I’ll be the I.M who shows you better performance than now.

Recently, Starship Entertainment released a statement to announce that five of the six members have renewed their contracts with their agency. However, I.M has decided to leave the agency.
Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, and Jooheon renewed their contracts with the label. In regards to I.M, he will leave the agency but remain a part of the group. They have come to a mutual agreement with the idol to carry on group activities regardless of what agency he chooses.
