MONSTA X’s Jooheon To Make Solo Debut In May
MONSTA X’s Jooheon will officially debut as a solo singer.
On April 28, the agency Starship Entertainment told Newsen, “Jooheon is preparing his first solo album with the goal of releasing it at the end of May. We ask for your interest.“
It is the first time Jooheon will release a solo album since his debut in 2015.
From the beginning of his debut, Jooheon took the lead in working on the title songs of the MONSTA X albums as well as the junior group CRAVITY’s debut album, sweeping the top of the domestic and foreign music charts, and was recognized for his producer capabilities. His solo mixtape ‘PSYCHE’ released in 2020 ranked first in 16 countries on iTunes’ top K-pop album chart.
Prior to the release of his first solo album, Jooheon released MONSTA X’s 12th mini-album ‘REASON’ in January, which broke its own record for first-week sales and won first place on KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’.
Jooheon’s self-composed songs ‘Crescendo’ and ‘It’s Okay’ were included in MONSTA X’s 12th mini album and received favorable reviews from fans.
