Min Hee Jin Says She Was Kicked Out Of The CEO Position After ADOR Announces New CEO Replacement
Apparently, Min Hee Jin has not agreed to step down from the CEO position of ADOR as previously revealed via an official statement by the label itself!
On the 27th of August, Min Hee Jin’s side stated, ‘On the 24th, we received a sudden notice from the ADOR board of directors that a board meeting would be held on the 27th to discuss the change of CEO, so Min participated in the meeting by phone that day.’ They continued, ‘Despite Min’s wishes, the board unilaterally decided to remove her from the CEO position,’ arguing that ‘this is a serious breach of the shareholders’ agreement.’
Furthermore, Min’s side claimed, ‘The company announced that Min Hee Jin would continue producing NewJeans, but this was not discussed with Min and was a one-sided notice,’ adding that ‘Min is currently considering her position on this matter and has not yet made a decision.’
Earlier that afternoon, ADOR announced that they had held a board meeting and appointed Kim Joo-young as the new CEO. They also stated that while Min Hee Jin would step down as CEO, she would remain an internal director at ADOR and continue producing NewJeans.
ADOR explained that, like other labels under HYBE, ADOR would now separate production and management.
However, as Min Hee Jin’s side has opposed the board’s decision, attention is focused on how Min will respond and whether this ongoing situation, now in its fifth month, will enter a second round.
What do you think of this?
