Legendary Rock Band U2 Honors Sulli As A Member Of Prominent Korean Women, Netizens Touched

Legendary Rock Band U2 has recently held their first-ever concert in Seoul!

The concert was held on December 8 at Gocheok Sky Dome, Korean fans were super excited to welcome the legendary band to Seoul for the first time ever.





During the show, U2 honored a number of prominent Korean women during their performance of the song “Ultra Violet (Light My Way).” On the big screen behind them, images of various Korean women who shaped Korean culture with their bravery and accomplishments were shown; the video was titled “Herstory.”

It showed images of female Jeju Island seafood divers, first female pilot Park Kyung Won, painter Na Hye Suk, Korea’s ‘Me Too’ whistleblower and lawyer Seo Ji Hyun, Ehwa Women’s University professor Hong Eun Ah, violinist Jung Kyung Hwa, Kyeonggi University professor and criminal psychologist Lee Soo Jung, and, lastly, Sulli.

The video ended with this message,




“Until we are all equal, no one is equal.”

Korean netizens were impressed by U2 decision to include Sulli, who has always advocated for women’s rights.
