Singer Holland has recently been the topic of discussion after what he said about Kpop fans and the shipper culture!

Recently, he took to Twitter to ask fans to stop asking him to out Kpop idols or such, he wrote, “please don’t ask me whether Taekook [V and Jungkook ship] or any other male or dating. It can be disrespectful to them, and it makes me uncomfortable. I don’t want to know who might be LGBTQ+ in the K-pop industry, and even if I did, | wouldn’t want to discuss it.”

Despite many Kpop fans agreeing with him, some took issue with him including the name Taekook in his tweet, which led to him deleting it and issuing an apology.

Read his apology below!

Hello, it’s Holland. First and foremost, I want to extend my sincere apologies to anyone who may have felt uncomfortable due to my hasty actions.
While interacting with my fans during a live session, I received numerous questions about a specific group. I expressed my discomfort by mentioning a particular
coupling name, which I now understand was wrong. Many people rightly pointed out that singling out a specific group was inappropriate, and I had not realized that at the time.
As the first openly LGBTQ+ K-pop idol to debut, I have often faced questions about the reality of male idol shippers, which has been stressful for me.
However, mentioning a specific artist couple’s name was my mistake. I have since deleted that post, and I hope you can understand and forgive me with an open
heart. I will strive to show a more mature side in the future. Thank you.

However, some kpop fans think his apology was not necessary.

What do you think of this?
