Korean Singer Goes Viral For His Heroic Act, He Helped A Woman Avoid Being Sexually Assaulted

Korean Singer ATONE name has been trending everywhere in South Korea following Channel A’s report.

On November 30, Channel A reported that the singer stopped a man from attempting to sexually assault a woman earlier that day. Channel A explained that he threw the man over his shoulders and held him to the ground until the police arrived.

The heroic act caught the attention of netizens and soon many news outlets began reporting on the story, ATONE explained what happened to Channel A news reporter at the scene of the incident.

He explained that the incident happened around 8:30 in the morning,

“I was asleep when I heard a woman scream outside. It seemed so bizarre so I opened the window and saw a foreign man trying to sexually assault a woman. In a hurry, I warned him through the window and quickly ran out. Once I came outside, she ran away barefoot, and the man came at me swinging his fist.”

He explained that he tried not to use violence so he tried to keep him down at the floor and asked people passing by to report it to the police. Later, other men showed up and helped him keep the man from running away.

ATONE told Channel A that it was a group effort, other citizens also lent a hand in keeping the man at bay while the police arrived. The foreign man was intoxicated during the incident. He is at custody and reportedly denied the charges that were caught on CCTV.

ATONE recently made his singer debut on November 28 and had produced songs for many artists such as Baek Ji Young, Gilgu Bonggu, Migyo, and more.

He’s receiving a lot of praise for his heroic action and is gaining many new fans.
