Korean Air has been presenting a special video featuring BLACKPINK on board since March after YG Entertainment started a partnership with Korean Air.
On the morning of March 15, YG Entertainment held a business agreement ceremony with Korean Air at the Korean Air headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. YG Entertainment Co-CEO Hwang Bo Kyung, Vice President of Performance Business Group Jung Ki Young, and Vice President of Marketing and IT Division of Korean Air attended and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a strategic partnership.
As part of that, Korean air has been presenting a special welcome video featuring BLACKPINK on board since March. Through this, they will continue to encourage interest in the Korean Wave culture as well as BLACKPINK’s music, which is provided as an in-flight entertainment service.
In addition, Korean Air will help as an official sponsor of BLACKPINK’s world tour “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]”, which is currently successfully taking continuing. In addition, they plan to develop various types of exchanges by seeking ways to cooperate with each other.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK successfully completed its North American performances in seven cities and 10 European performances in seven cities. Recently, they have been meeting more fans in Asia and will be on stage as a headliner at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the U.S. in April and the U.K. Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival in July.
