Kang Sung Hoon Leaves YG Entertainment And Sechskies
Kang Sung Hoon has personally revealed through his official fan café that he’s leaving his group and YG Entertainment.
On January 1, he took to his fan café Hoony World to announce his decision, he wrote,
“Unexpected misunderstandings repeatedly arouse, I’ve been cautious about expressing my official stance.
Currently, it is impossible to predict when to I will return to the industry because of my psychological health problems. And I came to the decision that continuing to push back Sechskies’s activities is causing great hurdle to others.
So after many thoughts, I decided to terminate my contract with YG Entertainment on December 31, 2018 based on mutual agreement, and I decided let go of all Sechskies activities.
I am really sorry that the fans who waited despite the long hiatus period, I am sorry for having failed to meet the expectation of people who did not forget to greet me warmly.
I sincerely apologize to Sechskies’s team that has been affected by my personal issues. I sincerely thank all those who have supported me Kang Sung Hoon of Sechskies for a long time.
I would like to ask of you to support Sechskies’s future activities. Again, I sincerely apologize and thank you.”
This means that as of 2019, Sechskies will continue to promote as a four member group.
Kang Sung Hoon has been involved in a series of issues back in 2018, he’s involved in trespassing case with his former manager. His fans had also filed a lawsuit against him and his fan club Hoony World.
He has been absent from his group’s activities since the issues arose back in 2018.
According to Newsen, YG Entertainment has since then followed with a statement confirming he’s indeed after having discussed with him.
Wishing him and Sechskies the best!
My Thoughts
I saw that coming mile away and its sad but judging from his actions and his absence I knew it was bound to happen.
2018 has been a very challenging year for Kang Sung Hoon. He’s been through a lot of trouble and also caused himself even more trouble. He affected the group with his decisions and honestly at this stage such incidents and issues can literally ruin them.
It’s sad because he worked with that group for a while and they got back together and things were looking up.
I personally find some of his actions suspicious and some are scary specifically speaking about that video of the trespassing incident with his ex-manager not to mention the lawsuit with the fans, I have found out he had a history with with legal issues and such.
I wish him and Sechskies the best and I hope that by the time they come back again they do well. Fighting!
I also hope that he seeks help for his mental health issues and only return when he’s recovered and well enough to carry on.
