The agency JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP), on behalf of the group NMIXX, has acknowledged that the sound accident that occurred during their performance at the Shinhan University festival was staged.

Videos of the incident spread on social media and despite the sudden loss of the MR during their performance of “DICE,” NMIXX continued the live performance without hesitation and received high praise.

However, controversy arose when the Student Council, who organized the Shinhan University festival, claimed through an online community that the sound accident was actually a pre-planned performance.

Regarding this, JYP stated, “The sound accident that occurred during NMIXX’s performance at the Shinhan University festival was an event aimed at enhancing the atmosphere of the festival. We shared the details and used special sound effects in collaboration with the organizers. However, we did not inform the NMIXX members in advance in order to create a natural performance.”

JYP further expressed their apologies, saying, “We apologize for not taking into consideration the confusion and discomfort that the event may have caused for the audience and fans. We will make sure to pay more attention to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future. We once again apologize to the audience and fans who cheered for NMIXX at the festival.”
