Singer Jung Joon Young has been officially arrested by police, he’s now the first celebrity involved in the Kakakotalk chatrooms to be arrested!
On March 21st, he attended his hearing at Seoul’s Central District Court office and left after two hours of questioning. The prosecuting attorney decided the arrest warrant requested by police was valid and thus accepted it.
He has been arrested for filming and sharing hidden camera footage without consent to various chatrooms including ones with Seungri, Choi Jong Hoon and others. He had been previously investigated twice on these charges, in 2016 and 2018, however, these charges were dropped and he was not charged.
It was also reported that he had received prostitution services as a gift from Yuri Holdings former CEO Mr. Yoo and allegedly used his ties with the police to get rid of key evidence of his 2016 case against his ex-girlfriend for the same issues.
