Famous JYP former idol Jo Kwon of 2AM has opened up about his 1st settlement payment and how low it shockingly was!

Recently, Jo Kwon appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Studio Every Day’. Jo Kwon confidently stated, “Whenever I see my juniors, I always think that this is just the beginning. I feel so new and happy right now. If they were to tell me to go back, I don’t think I could.”

Jo Kwon, who said that his trainee days were the most difficult, said, “I didn’t have anything. I didn’t have anything I could do. When I earn money, I want to eat delicious food and do things I want to do, but when I was a trainee, I didn’t have any money.”

When the production staff asked if it didn’t take a long time to receive settlements, Seo Eun Kwang said, “I received 500,000 won [$362] in advance payment. I remember that it was like that for 3-4 years.” Jo Kwon expressed an unfair look saying, “I didn’t have anything” and responded “It was sad” to Seo Eun Kwang’s words that he must have felt proud during the first settlement. He said, “During the first settlement, it was an amount of 210,000 won [$152] after deducting all the trainee expenses I had paid for all that time.” He laughed bitterly while saying, “It was the money I received after 3 years. I hugged my mother and cried. I went to the telecommunications company and paid my phone bill with that money.”

Meanwhile, 2AM debuted in 2008 and was co-managed by JYP and Big Hit Entertainment at the time.
