T-ara member and singer-actress Jiyeon has temporarily suspended her YouTube activities.

Some are suspecting that its due to the criticism she received in recent negative comments, triggered by the actions of her husband, professional baseball player Hwang Jae Gyun’s bench-clearing incident.

On the 20th of June, Jiyeon announced through her YouTube channel notice that “it would be difficult to upload YouTube videos for the time being due to personal reasons” and asked for understanding from her subscribers.

Netizens who came across this news mentioned that Jiyeon has been suffering from malicious comments recently. It is speculated that this decision is a countermeasure against the continuous comments criticizing her husband Hwang Jae Gyun on her social media and YouTube channel.

Previously, Hwang Jae Gyun, who is affiliated with the professional baseball team KT Wiz, was involved in a controversy for triggering a bench-clearing incident during a game against the Hanhwa Eagles on the 5th.

In this game, after KT lost, Hwang Jae Gyun showed strong anger towards Hanhwa pitcher Park Sang-won. It was because Park Sang-won exhibited excessive celebration towards the opposing team in a situation where Hanhwa was significantly ahead.

As a result of Hwang Jae Gyun’s expressions of anger, players from both teams quickly rushed onto the field, resulting in a bench-clearing incident.

Some baseball fans sought out Jiyeon’s social media and YouTube to leave comments criticizing her after this incident.

On the day of announcing the suspension of her YouTube activities, Jiyeon stated, “I will return with a bright appearance” and added, “Thank you.”

Many fans are upset about whats going on and are urging Jiyeon to sue the malicious comments that are trying to shame her for her husband’s actions.
