Rumors Of Divorce Between Famous Idol And Husband Flair Up Again After Photo Of Him At A Late Drinking Party Surfaces
The rumors of divorce between famous idol T-ara’s Jiyeon and professional baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun have been reignited and a recent photo has netizens buzzing!
The couple originally got married in December 2022 and have shared their happy moments together on SNS. However, in June, during a radio broadcast of a baseball game on Busan and Gyeongnam area station KNN, the commentators mentioned Hwang Jae-gyun’s divorce, saying, ‘I heard it from the director.’ Although it was not aired on the radio, it was relayed to viewers through the visible radio on the YouTube channel.
After the shocking audio was heard, rumors of Jiyeon and Hwang Jae-gyun’s divorce quickly spread online. Furthermore, Jiyeon recently informed her YouTube community that it would be difficult to upload videos for a while, which fueled the divorce rumors. Although this post initially seemed to be written due to malicious comments directed at Hwang Jae-gyun following a baseball game, the divorce rumors led to reactions that Jiyeon may have quit YouTube due to conflicts with Hwang Jae-gyun.
Later, commentator Lee Gwang-gil gave an exclusive interview to Xports News, apologizing by stating that it was a slip of the tongue, not something he confirmed, and Jiyeon’s former agency head also told Xports News that he checked with Jiyeon regarding the divorce rumors, and it was not true.
However, on the 5th of September, a witness account of a drinking party involving Jiyeon’s husband, baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun, surfaced, and the divorce rumors were raised again.
According to witness A, Hwang Jae-gyun was at a drinking party that lasted until dawn with mixed company. A pointed out that Hwang Jae-gyun is currently in an important regular league and is about to enter the fall baseball season. However, its important to note that the baseball player could have just been drinking with his fellow friends and such and its not as big of a deal as some netizens are alleging. However, what puzzled fans was how one Jiyeon close acquaintance responded to the viral photo.
With this photo being shared around, a close acquaintance of Jiyeon cautiously remarked to a media outlet, “Just the fact that she herself encounters the photos could be hurtful, so we are being careful.”
Neither Jiyeon nor her husband have commented on the photo as of this writing.
