BTS’s “IDOL” MV has been released 24 hours ago; the MV has garnered attention as the group’s recent comeback music video. BTS fan base, army, worked hard to stream the MV so it reaches the 50 million views in less than 24 hours.
In 24 hours, the MV accumulated more than 56 million views breaking Taylor Swift’s record for most viewed Music video on YouTube, “Look What You Made Me Do” held the record of 43.2 million views in the first 24 hours.

By the looks of it, BTS has already surpassed that record by an astonishing 13 million views.
BTS’s “IDOL” is now the most viewed Korean music video/Kpop group music video in the first 24 hours surpassing their own previous record held by “Fake Love” which had accumulated 35.9 million views in the first 24 hours.
This is whats believed for now, but since YouTube is known for changing views and adjusting them, there is a chance that number either goes up or down.
Back in June, BTS’s “Fake Love” was thought to have surpassed the 39 million views in the first 24 hours but the views were deducted by YouTube and the number went down.
A fan had recently tweeted YouTube to tell them not to mess with their views, YouTube released this reply,
“We won’t! During the first few hours after a video is uploaded, we might slow or freeze the view count while our system makes sure the views are real. But we’re still counting every view. After quality views are counted, view count updates more frequently (linking to an article that specifies how views are counted).”
No matter what the final result may be, BTS have broken all records previously held by them and other Kpop groups in the first 24 hours. “IDOL” has more than 4.5 million likes which is also believed to be the most liked YouTube music video in the first 24 hours.
