Will BLACKPINK be the next Kpop act to break through the US market? Some people think so in light of recent news.

It has been revealed by OSEN that many US networks and music producers are eyeing the popular girl group, many have already sent offers to the girl group.

YG Entertainment then issued an official response confirming that the group has indeed received various offers from many places around the world including the US, but added,

“Nothing has been decided yet, we’re not at a stage to say anything officially.”

YG Entertainment one and only girl group has been breaking and making records with their first mini album “Square Up” which was released back on June 15.

Their hit tracks are performing very well on Korean music charts and internationally as well. Their MV “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” is one of the most watched music videos in the first 24 hours in YouTube’s history.

Their MV went on to break all previous MV records held by Kpop girl groups, it became the fastest Kpop girl group MV to reach the 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80 million views.

American magazine Forbes even commented on the group’s huge success calling the song ‘a certified banger.’

They said,

“[BLACKPINK] delivered big-time with the “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” video, a glitzy spectacle that features the members strutting through fiery wastelands, swinging on chandeliers and munching on popcorn atop bejeweled tanks. The song itself is a certified banger, combining crisp trap beats, breezy synth hooks and infectious vocal melodies.”

Do you think BLACKPINK can advance to the US market? Will they be able to succeed?
