HYBE Starting New Girl Group Survival Show This Month On JTBC
HYBE is launching a new rookie girl group!
On June 1st, JTBC and Belift Lab announced, “Filming has begun for the new survival program ‘R U Next?’ (produced by Studio JAM/Mushroom Company).”
‘R U Next?’ is a program that will determine the final members of the next-generation global girl group from HYBE and CJ ENM’s joint venture label, Belift Lab. The show is set to premiere on June 30th, with a total of 10 episodes airing every Friday night at 8:50 PM.
The participants, who dream of debuting, will receive training within a systematic curriculum. They will pass through various survival stages to prove their potential and star quality.
The production team explained, “There will be a total of seven rounds of competition, evaluating possibilities, expressiveness, genre adaptability, professionalism, distinctiveness, creativity, and star quality.”
They further stated, “Although fierce competition is inevitable, we will focus on the participants’ stories and relationships, delivering a healthy image. We hope you will watch how Hive’s next girl group is created.”
HYBE established Belift Lab in collaboration with CJ ENM and debuted ENHYPEN through the audition program ‘I-LAND.’
HYBE and JTBC clarified, “‘R U Next?’ is a completely separate project from ‘I-LAND.’ According to HYBE’s multi-label strategy, this program will highlight Belift Lab’s originality and autonomy, representing the final stage for the girl trainees.
