Interesting news is out about HYPE’s next movement and its gone viral for its scale!
HYBE (formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment) has merged with Scooter Braun’s media company Ithaca Holdings.
On April 2, HYBE announced that their subsidiary Big Hit America is acquiring a 100% stake in Ithaca Holdings and this acquisition includes various properties such as SB Projects (Scooter Braun Projects) and Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Label Group.
This also means that the merger between the two companies makes their artist lineup something beyond anyone’s imagination, it now includes artists such as BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, NU’EST, Gfriend, Zico, ENHYPEN, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, J Balvin, Demi Lovato, Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line, Lady A, and more.
Wit this merger, HYBE plans on accelerating their artists’ entrance to the American market through Ithaca Holdings’ expertise in the market.
As a result of the merger, Scooter Braun has joined HYBE’s board of directors, while Scott Borchetta will remain Big Machine Label Group’s CEO.
