[BREAKING] Hongbin Has Left VIXX After 8 Years, What Happened?

Hongbin has decided to withdraw from VIXX.

On August 7, Jellyfish Entertainment released an official statement announcing that Hongbin has left VIXX.

Read their statement:

“Hello, this is Jellyfish Entertainment.

We’re here to announce our position regarding VIXX member Hongbin.

First of all, we’d like to thank all the fans who love VIXX, we’re sad to tell you this news.

Hongbin has announced his intentions to leave VIXX on the 7th Of August. After careful discussions with the members and Hongbin, we decided to respect his opinion of wanting to leave the group.

VIXX will continue to work as a five-member group, we apologize for causing concern to the fans with the sudden news, we ask you for your continued love and support for the VIXX members.”

The sudden announcement comes a day after Hongbin personally announced he’s set to resume his broadcast on twitch after the controversy that aroused from his drunken broadcast. He previously talked about groups such as EXO, SHINee, Super Junior, and more in a way that angered their respective fandoms. His remarks about these groups got him into controversy, he, his members and agency issued apologizes for his broadcast.

In response to the huge backlash, he took time off for self-reflection and halted activities.
