Famous 1st Gen kpop idol Kim Tae Woo from the group g.o.d has issued an apology after a recent report came out!
It was revealed that singer Kim Tae Woo used a private ambulance to go to an event venue, and he later apologized after it was belatedly disclosed that he was informally charged.
In March 2018, Kim Tae Woo used a private ambulance to travel from Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province to a venue in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. According to the investigation by the prosecution, an executive of Kim’s agency reportedly provided the contact information of the private ambulance driver, Mr. A (44 years old), to an event agency employee, saying, “Using a private ambulance allows you to quickly reach the event venue and avoid traffic congestion.”
Mr. A received 300,000 won as compensation. On the 15th of Octobr, according to legal circles, Judge Hong Jun-seo of the Incheon District Court’s Criminal Division 5 sentenced Mr. A, the private ambulance driver who was indicted on charges of violating the Emergency Medical Services Act and driving without a license under the Road Traffic Act, to 1 year and 6 months in prison and a fine of 2 million won.
Mr. A, who had a previous drunk driving record, drove a private ambulance 23 times without a license from August 2021 to March of last year, and he was also indicted on charges of transporting patients 19 times and receiving 5.39 million won in compensation from January 2021 to February of last year in areas (other than Seoul) where he did not have a business license. The prosecution also informally charged Kim Tae Woo and executives of his agency with violating the Emergency Medical Services Act. Informal charges are a procedure in which the prosecution requests the court to impose a fine without a formal trial by reviewing documents.
On the 16th of October, Kim Tae Woo apologized through his agency, saying, “I am sorry for disappointing many people with this incident. I admit my mistake without any excuse and deeply reflect on it. I will be careful to ensure that such incidents do not happen again. I sincerely apologize with a bowed head and a heartfelt sorry.”
His agency IOK Company stated, “Kim Tae Woo sincerely acknowledges his mistake and has cooperated diligently during the investigation. He deeply regrets this incident and reflects on it. We sincerely apologize once again for causing concern to many people due to this incident, and we will make more careful efforts in artist management to prevent such worries in the future.”
