Girls Generation’s Taeyeon took to her Instagram on January 11 to personally talk about day of the 32nd Golden Disc Awards.

She went on a live video and shared her feelings on Lee Hi’s tribute to the late singer, she said,

“I watched Lee Hi’s stage well. I wanted to help her out while she was singing. The distance between us felt really long at that moment. I wanted to comfort her. She performed the song beautifully so much that I feel so thankful, she did well.

I haven’t seen her in a while, she seems to have become even prettier.”

Lee Hi paid tribute to the late singer Jonghyun of SHINee by singing “Breathe,” a song he personally composed and wrote, the song is considered to be a healing song to many listeners.

Lee Hi ended up crying on stage while trying to sing the song, while Taeyeon watched from the distance with tears in her eyes.

My Thoughts

Gotta love Taeyeon for what she said!

I watched Lee Hi’s performance, it was so heartbreaking, I never thought I’d get so emotional again! The death of Jonghyun still hasn’t sunk in, its so difficult to accept, a young 27 year old youth taken away!

Lee Hi did well, I loved that Taeyeon spoke about her performance and praised her, its nice to see artists of different agencies support each other like that!

May his soul rest in peace!
