(G)I-DLE’s Minnie and British global pop star Anne-Marie will present a special collaboration.
On February 22, Anne-Marie and Minnie released the album cover image on (G)I-DLE’s official SNS channel and announced the collaboration officially.
The song “Expectations” will be released at 6 p.m. on March 9. The album cover poster, which was released along with the news of the release of the song, is impressive in its design which utilizes hip colors and kitsch feelings, and it attracts attention as the poster shows the loveliness of Anne-Marie and Minnie.
The collaboration is known to have been made through Warner Music Korea, with global interest in the combination of two female vocalists whom Korea loves. The new song “Expectations” with the two will not only be released as a one-time music release, but various promotional content will also be released one after another, and global fans are expected to respond enthusiastically.
In particular, both Anne-Marie and Minnie have something in common which is that they are artists who have captivated listeners worldwide with their unforgettable tones and trendy singing ability. Anne-Marie is loved in Korea so much that Korean fans call her by nicknames after her maintaining the top 10 records among pop songs with “2002,” and Minnie is loved globally as the main vocalist of (G)I-DLE and an artist who is contributing to K-pop globalization.
