Singer and internet broadcaster A, a former member of a girl group, has been indicted for falsely accusing the CEO of her agency of attempted rape.

According to News1 on the 15th, the Women and Children Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office (led by chief prosecutor Kim Eun-mi) indicted A (23) on charges of false accusation without detention on the 7th. A had accused the CEO of her agency of attempting to sexually assault her in the company’s office in January, claiming he had committed attempted rape and making a false report to the police.

At the time, the police decided not to refer the case for prosecution on charges of attempted rape against the CEO, but after A filed an objection, the prosecution conducted another investigation. After considering evidence such as CCTV footage and messenger conversations, the prosecution concluded that A had made a false accusation due to dissatisfaction with the notice of termination she had received from the agency.

A debuted as a member of a girl group in 2017 and has been active as an internet broadcaster since leaving the group in 2022.
