Former first generation idol from O2R Kim Jae Geun has passed away, a Korean news outlet reports.
On May 13, it was revealed that Kim Jae Geun was driving his car in Seo District of Incheon on April 30 when his car crashed to a loaded truck, the truck driver was injured and Kim Jae Geun passed away.
The police is also currently investigating the cause of the crash in more details. Fans were devastated for the idol and his young son, since his wife has passed away three years ago due to acute blood poisoning complications. Their son is six years old.
A source revealed,
“His younger son was taken care by him alone. After legal process is finished, the son plans on living with his younger sibling’s family.
He is slowly accepting his father’s death, he maturally said, ‘If I miss dad, I can remember times when we had fun.”
Kim Jae Geun was only 38 years old when he passed away, he was born back in 1980 and debuted as part of O2R back in 1999. After the group disbandment, he worked as a dancer and when he got married he started working as a cameraman, he used to work as a staff member of the SBS program “Jagiya.”
