Fifty Fifty Files Suit To Suspend Exclusive Contract With Attrakt, Revealed To Have Done So Since Last Week

Fifty Fifty (Sena, Aran, Kina, Sio) has released an official statement amid turmoil at their agency Attrakt revealing they have filed to suspend their contracts with them.

On the 28th of June, the law firm Barun, acting as legal representatives for the members Sana, Kina, Aran, and Sio, announced that they have filed an application for an interim suspension of the exclusive contract with the agency Attract. They explained the members filed an application for a suspension of the exclusive contract on the 19th of June at the Seoul Central District Court, and the trial is currently underway.

Below is the full statement from the perspective of Fifty Fifty:

This is a statement from the law firm Barun, acting as legal representatives for Sana, Kina, Aran, and Sio (hereinafter referred to as the “members”).
Through our legal representatives, the four members filed an application for an interim suspension of the exclusive contract on June 19th at the Seoul Central District Court, and the trial is currently underway. This action was taken in response to Attrakt’s violation of the contract and the resulting breach of trust.
The members have not responded during the ongoing trial. Despite the legal representatives sending letters pointing out various issues and demanding corrective actions, Attrakt continues to damage the members’ reputation through continuous media coverage without making any efforts to explain the demands. Therefore, we have decided to release this statement.
Despite their young age, the members have strived to think and act independently. After sufficient consultation with their parents, they decided to raise the issue with the assistance of our legal representatives. However, Attrakt has failed to provide a clear explanation for the contractual violations and has refused to listen to the members’ voices, referring to it as an “attempted seizure by external forces.” Additionally, Attrakt has arbitrarily disclosed the members’ surgical reasons without any consultation, which has caused great disappointment and frustration for the members.
The members have raised concerns about various aspects of the contract, including Attrakt’s lack of transparency in settlements and their insistence on activities despite disclosed health difficulties. This decision was made by the four members, without any external interference, united in their determination to make independent choices.
The members are well aware of the critical nature of the current situation and the concerns of many around them. From the beginning of their training, they vowed to become artists who can have a positive influence. Our four members have neither condoned nor engaged in anything unjust. They have made this decision honestly, without external pressures, to follow the right path for themselves.
Attrakt is now requested not to further damage the reputation of the members of Fifty Fifty.
The four members simply wish to return to their supportive fans as soon as possible. We promise that we will continue to be artists who are proactive and sincere.
We earnestly request that speculative articles refrain from spreading unverified information or claims to prevent any further harm to the victims.
Thank you.

Fifty Fifty gained attention with their song ‘Cupid,’ released in February, which unexpectedly entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart and continued its successful run, raising their popularity.

Through the past week, Attrakt claimed that external forces had approached Fifty Fifty on the 23rd and the CEO even conducted an interview and said he will reveal the names soon and fight to keep the members. Later on the 26th, the agency accused Warner Music Korea and sent them a statement of proof, they also demanded an explanation. In a statement to the press, Warner Music Korea denies the accusations and expressed regret such rumors have been spreading around.

In a weird turn of events, the group’s fan café had also suddenly shut down on June 27 and the agency further blamed the said external forces of shutting it down. They have since retrieved the fan café. Later, through another statement to the press, The CEO of the agency announced he’s filed a lawsuit against producer and the CEO of The Givers, An Sung-il, and three more after accusing them of being the said external force attempting to poach the members.
