EXO’s Suho And The Four aespa Members All File Lawsuits Against Infamous YouTuber Sojang

EXO‘s Suho and aespa, both under SM Entertainment, have filed a lawsuit against the operator of the YouTube channel Sojang.

SM Entertainment confirmed on September 4th that they filed the lawsuit in April, and the first trial was held on September 2nd.

Sojang is facing charges of defamation and insult under the Information and Communications Network Act. During the trial, A admitted to creating the videos but denied the intent to defame or disrupt business, claiming that they believed the content to be truthful, which they argue should nullify the charges.

Sojang had been operating the YouTube channel from October 2021 to June 2022, posting videos that defamed numerous celebrities, including IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, Kang Daniel, BTS, and other influencers.

Jang Wonyoung and her agency, Starship Entertainment, previously filed a damages lawsuit against Sojang, which resulted in a court ruling in January that awarded Jang Wonyoung 100 million won in damages. However, Sojang has appealed, continuing the legal battle.

Sojang is also being sued by BTS V, Jungkook and Kang Daniel.
