EXO’s Kai expressed his regretful feelings to fans ahead of his enlistment!
On the 9th, Kai’s fan meeting ‘KAI’s [aKAIve]’ was broadcast live through EXO’s official YouTube channel.
At the opening, Kai said, “Fortunately, I had a good opportunity to have a fan meeting. Before I went, I asked (fans) because I missed them so much, and thanks to the staff at the company who worked hard, I was able to meet them in a good opportunity.”
He communicated with fans through various corners. Kai prepared a corner for fans to fulfill their wishes, congratulated them in advance on their anniversaries, made photo cards for EXO-L (fan club name), and looked back on memories.
In addition, Kai recommended playlists that are good to listen to depending on the situation.
After finishing his fan meeting, Kai said, “I think I’ve been talking about (enlistment-related) things little by little since the end of last year. I couldn’t say it properly because fans told me to ‘stop.’ What can I do if I regret or feel sad? I’ll come back soon and run like crazy.” He then said, “I’ll be thinking about all of you and studying and practicing hard to show you a great performance when I come back after more than a year. I’ll be doing my duty to the nation, so please wait for me. You can do other things while I’m gone. I’ll come back, so don’t worry too much.”
After singing the encore song “Love Shot,” Kai said goodbye once again. He said, “It doesn’t feel real. Even this moment is something I have to experience as a matter of course. Of course, I’m sad and regretful that I won’t be able to see many things, but there will be many good days ahead. I still have plenty of time left, so I’m not too worried. This is my first and last time doing this, so I don’t know what to say. I hope you wait for me. Thank you once again.”
Kai also promised, “Thanks to you, I think I’ll do well. I’ve never shaved my head since elementary school, but I’ll do it tomorrow. It’s okay. I’ll look cool. I’ll send you a picture.”
Finally, a video message from leader Suho was revealed. Suho said, “I wanted to visit you, but I couldn’t because of the musical rehearsals. It’s sudden that you have to enlist, and both the fans and I feel sad, but I hope that time will be valuable for you to reflect and have good experiences. I hope you return safely and in good health. EXO will feel empty without you. I love you.”
Kai is set to enlist on May 11.
